Single mum wanting to move to Norwich....advice please

Hello
I've been offered a place at the university of the arts. I'd live to move from Suffolk where I live now (so not too far away) to Norwich so I can go to this uni, which has such a good reputation. I'm a single mum to an 18 month old. His father has little involvement so I'm mum 24/7...
...I really want to know where would be good places to live? I'm used to having lots of access to green spaces. Also good nurseries nearby? Would it be easy to make friends? I'm really worried about being isolated and lonely, but I know lots of people who have said Norwich is an excellent place to be a parent.
I'd appreciate any advice please :-) And if anyone would like to adopt us then even better x

What is your budget? Somewhere actually in the city centre (within the walls) might suit. You'd still have access to Chapelfield gardens and a big park like Eaton is just a bus ride away. Nursery places in Norwich can be a problem, is there any nursery associated with the Univ. of the Arts?

I think the Magdalen Street area is the most 'arty' and quirky, and the nearby streets of small houses (Esdelle Street, Magpie Road etc) offer cheap accommodation. I don't think Norwich is a good town for free stuff (events, children's activities) for hard up families though. There used to be a group called Gingerbread which was for single parents. You could try looking to see if it still exists and if there's a group in Norwich, and make contact, if so?
