Dentist - South Cambridge/Cambridgeshire

Our lovely NHS dentist has just retired and we need to find someone preferably either to the south of Cambridge city or in nearby villages. We could go private ... as long as it doesn't mean being cajoled into a lot of expensive unnecessary/cosmetic type work. Has anyone got any suggestions, please?

Oh dear!
Are they all that bad that no one can recommend one?
Alternatively, are they that good that no one wants their dentist swamped with new patients?
The DCs are grown up, so we don't need a dentist who is good with children, just someone who is competent and won't charge an arm and a leg.
Any suggestions would be very welcome, thanks!

I use the Gables on Cherry Hinton Road (on the ring road). I think they (currently) have NHS places (there was a stage where they didn't).
They seem pretty good to me, but I have never needed to have anything complicated done.

I use Mr Mullins on Norfolk Street.
Great non interventionist dentist.

I use Great Shelford. They are NHS and we've always had really good service there.
