We've seen a property to buy in Bishopthorpe. Really like the village but worried that it's in a flood plain. Environment Agency puts it at low risk of 1 in 100 to 1 in 1000 chance of a flood each year. As I don't know the area, wondered if anyone had first hand experience of Bishopthorpe and could tell me whether in reality the area does flood? Perhaps I'm being paranoid but worried about reselling property if something did happen. Thanks!
