I'm looking for local providers to deliver some activities in Orpington in May and June 2015. I'm keen to keep it local and someone suggested I post on Mumsnet for potential providers.
The activities will be part of a campaign on waste management. The campaign will be branded under a ‘reduce, re-use, and recycle’ programme and all activities should fit into this theme.
The activities are not restricted to any age group, but should be age appropriate.
It is preferred that they are run from a community centre that will provided, but outdoor activities will be considered.
Each activity should engage 10-15 people.
It is essential that the provider:
- Runs the activity safely for 2-4 hours in St Mary Cray, Orpington.
- Promotes the activity through outreach work
- Evaluates the programme and reports: outcomes of the activity, number of attendees, post codes of where they live and their dates of birth.
- Venue will be provided.
In your quote, please advise us on any other restrictions to running your activity.
Each provider must have:
- Current DBS checks for all staff working with young people.
- Appropriate insurance.
- Appropriate equipment to run the activities.
We are looking for quotes for the following activities:
Reduce – how to avoid waste
-Cooking - focusing on re-using leftovers / store cupboard ingredients
-Gardening - focusing on home composting and green waste
Providers can also quote for activities they feel fit within this theme.
Re-use – promoting repair/ re-use of product instead of purchasing new ones
-Sewing – focus on re-using old clothing/materials
-Arts and crafts – focus on re-use of materials
Providers can also quote for activities they feel fit within this theme.
Recycle – activities that promote home recycling
Providers can also quote for activities they feel fit within this theme.
