Talbot Heath School

Hi we are moving to Bournemouth in a few months and hope to get our dd into Talbot Heath School foe Year 8. Does anyone have any feedback on this school? Does it have issues with bullying, eating disorders or other issues associated with all girls schools? Our other option is Bournemouth Collegiate and if anyone has any experience/feedback on this school I would be very grateful. Feeling very stressed about moving her at such a late stage and am worried about any issues the schools may have that we can't see on a trip around the school! Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Hi there. I went to TH (admittedly I left in 1990!) but I loved it. I found it tough academically, but excelling in sport gave me an outlet to achieve on a different level. I did eventually make it to Uni so something must have gone in and I would say that, rightly or wrongly, I believe it has opened doors for me. It remains a well respected independent school and although I cannot comment on other schools, from what I hear from friends, I was somewhat unique in actually enjoying school for the most part. Good luck with your decision!
