wavy thick hairdresser help

I've never had a decent haircut since moving to edinburgh. My hair is mid length but v thick and needs thinned out or layered. I've tried several hairdressers but it's always rubbish and I have to wear it up!

Any recommendations?

TIA

I use Eileen Nugent who works one day a week in the Beauty Works in Corstorphine. She is on Facebook as Eileen Nugent Wedding Hair as she works from home too.

Thanks GroveeCar. I'm on the other side of Edinburgh but might make a trip if she can thin our my thick hair effectively!

She's really sorted my thick hair out and noticed when it had thinned out naturally and sent me to the dr.

She gives my dd a good cut, her hair is down her back and so thick that lots of hairdressers have commented on how thick it is.

I have lots and lots of curly/wavy hair, and I go to Lorraine at Medusa on Bread St, she is brilliant. Lots of my friends now use her too. Hth!

I recommend Pam at EH11 salon in Polwarth- very reasonable prices and personal service- always willing to listen to what you want and then uses professional judgement and gives advice too. www.eh11hair.co.uk/

My hair is rediculously thick. Claire at urban hair on Howe street
Is worth travelling across town for me .... The only person who can tame it and haircut lasts for ages!

Thanks so much for these recommendations, I'll report back!
