Nurseries - flexble days?

I've got a 4 month old baby and am just starting to think about nurseries for when I go back to work part time. I work shifts and am likely to need childcare for 2 weekdays a week , but varying days from week to week. Is there such a thing as a nursery which has this flexibility? I feel totally clueless when it comes to childcare, and have been putting off thinking about it for such a long time I would really appreciate any info! Oh, I live in Langside. Thanks!

Hi, will all your work days be Mon-Fri? I used to work in a nursery and they would be flexible IF they had space available. It might not be very secure though as if they got a full time child they would want to be able to offer that space to them and with the ratios in a baby room there wouldn't be many available spaces to guarantee a free one for your child IYSWIM.

How far in advance would you know your shifts? Would you consider a nanny with her own child? Someone like that is most likely to be happy with a part time wage and able to be flexible.
