Haven't had much luck, still looking to connect with Watford or near Watford mums. Btw I have a nearly 2 year old toddler

Hi Charlene,

I'm not in Watford, we live in St. Albans, but do go to Watford regularly enough to the INTU and the high street area.. I have a little boy who is just 2. We are new (ish) to the area, and both work full time at the moment so find it difficult to connect with other family's. I am hoping to drop 1 day a week soon, as I'm finding full time work a struggle.

Is your lo a boy or girl??

I have a boy who will be 2 in June, I work full time as well, so understand how hectic things can get and the lack of opportunity of meeting up with other local mums for adult conversations, shared experiences and play dates, etc. Is your lo your first child?

Btw I just seen your other msg, I am not Irish, but my mum is half Irish if that counts :-)

That's ok.. My DH isn't Irish either Smile It is our first.. TTC # 2 for quite a while now and nothing happening. Now that my DH is 2, feel like I'm getting some bit of a life back and realising how few connections we have!!

My lo is my first too, indecisive about having another atm, still getting over the exhaustion of the first, although probably more swayed towards it than my partner lol I have lived in Watford for just over 3 years now, so relatively new, but getting use to my immediate surroundings, although have been to St Albans a couple of times prior to having my son, mainly the town centre where the cathedral is. I live very close to the shopping centre here in Watford, not far from the junction. Also don't have many friends with children of the same age, most of my friends are work colleagues, mainly blokes as I work for the railway industry

Hi I'd be interested in meeting. I live in Rickmansworth and have done for three years, but I'm happy to travel to meet up. I also have a just-turned two year old. I work part time at the moment but increasing my hours soon.

charlene1981 · 14/04/2015 07:44

Well I am happy to meet up although can only do weekends at the moment, although hoping to use some parental leave up at the beginning of next year so will be a bit more free during the week for a little while, but at the moment that is a little far off

Now the weather is getting better, well fingers crossed it continues. Have suggested a picnic meet up in a park, Cassiobury Park to be exact on the last bank holiday Monday in May on a few various mum forums aimed at local mums with children under 5. So if you or anyone else is interested please feel welcome, I have done a FB event for this as well, msg me if you need more details or the link to the FB event to be shared.
