Ive been wanting to move out of the area for a while, currently live on the outskirts of London and the area is getting worse and I want to get my kids out
The problem I have is that I've recently become a single parent,I work 27hrs a week but don't earn quite enough to afford the rents, at the moment I receive part housing benefit, I'm finding it difficult to find a house/landlord who will accept this The deposit and everything is not a problem, do those in the local area know of any landlords or estate agents that may help me?
I have been in my current property for 9yrs and have claimed housing benefit with no problems and my current landlord would give me a reference

I also wanted some advice on the best local schools as this is the main reason for moving and would ideally like to find the right schools then try and find a place within the catchment, I have a 8yr old and a 12yr old, and I believe bedfordshire has a three tiered system?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi- we have lived in Leighton Buzzard for the past year (I grew up round the corner in Dunstable then moved to London when I was 18).

I am afraid I cannot recommend schools as we are expecting our first but yes we have a three tiered system which I went through and loved - I really think it's a good system.

In terms of estate agents, we used Wilkinsons Partnership to buy our house who were great but they also do lettings, as do Connells (their head office is actually in LB).

Sorry I am not much help but I think it's a great area, definitely recommend moving here. A lovely place to have kids (I hope!)
