7th birthday party help!

Hello,

My dd is turning 7 in April and the party she wanted (swimming) cannot be booked, as I've left it too late (and the ones that are available need lots of adults in the pool, which I think would be awkward!)

Can anyone help me out with ideas for a party somewhere that provides venue and food?

It's too late to try to book a hall and I'd rather pay to have someone at the venue to do nice food than run around sorting out the food.

Thank you if you can help!!

Hi Ozendon

Eddie Catz Wimbledon (Colliers Wood) and Putney.

John Lloyd Bowling

Virgin Active North Road does swimming parties etc....

Polka Theatre could do theatre trip and then tea in cafe (which can be pre-arranged)

Sure some other local Mumsnetters will come up with some other options too.

Good luck!

Thank you for all the suggestions!

For Virgin Active swimming parties, they have to be 8 unfortunately.

Polka theatre might appeal, I'll ask later, she is so determined to have a swimming party that it will have to be something unusual to sway her away from that......so hard.

Thanks again.

Hi Ozendon

Yes, by the time the DCs get to 7 they have minds of their own.

The leisure centres sometimes offer interesting options. Know of a child who had a karting party at Tooting Leisure Centre if that's not too far away?

Also Colour House Theatre do theatre/party combinations.

The Colour House seems to be the winner!
It looks really fun and no-one in her class has done it yet!!
Thanks again for all the ideas!!

Hi Ozendon

Great choice! Went to see The Jungle Book there a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it.

Happy birthday to your DD and hope she and her friends have a great time! It's a fantastic experience and rather different from lots of other party options!

Wink.

Thank you! I know the kids like all the usual options, but I hope they enjoy this too!
