Nurseries in North Leeds - Help!

Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody could recommend any nurseries in the North Leeds area... My husband, myself, and our little boy are all moving down from Scotland in the next few months as we start new jobs in the city centre in June! It is all a bit of a rush and I am slightly panicking as some of the waiting lists are up until September next year! We are both coming out of the Royal Air Force, hence why it is slightly last minute. Feeling v unorganised! Am prepared to rent in any area where I find the perfect nursery with Freddie (my little one) being the priority. Looked at Meanwood, Chapel Allerton, Horsforth etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi OP. We're going to move this thread in a moment to our local Leeds board.

It's such a broad area with so many nurseries! I'm in Horsforth and happy with the one we're at (PM if you want to know) but then I have heard others not be that impressed. There's a few new ones opening in Horsforth soon too. I would tend to think that you'll be able to find a nursery you are happy with, and it's more important to find an area you like. If you're looking long term then schools will presumably be a consideration too.

Not sure if you are still looking but my DS attends Gateways Nursery in Harewood. Not exactly North Leeds but easy enough to get to. He is sooooo happy and the staff are fab!

What age is your kid? Carr Manor Primary School offers care for the over 2's & I've heard great things. Holly House is Chapel A has a good reputation too & is worth a look for babies upwards.

I've heard good things about the Primley Park chain.
