Getting to Media City

What's the easiest way to get to the Lowry? We are going to see Singalonga Frozen on Sunday. Is it easier to use the tram from Central Manchester or drive straight there?

Thanks!

The tram stops right by the Lowry (Media City if on a direct tram which is 1 minute across the Quays or Harbour City which is the stop before and a couple of minutes walk following the road around to the Lowry).

If you are driving you can park at the Lowry Outlet Mall as the Lowry theatre is just outside on the main concourse. If you haven't pre-paid for a parking ticket at the time of booking; you buy a pre-paid ticket on the day from the machine for £6.

What time is the show? The above is for an evening performance but if it's an afternoon performance you could always park, spend £5 minimum in say Costa or one of the restaurants and get "free" parking for 6 hours.

I don't think Manchester Utd are at home on Sunday so the roads and trams should be quieter!

Hope you have a lovely time Smile

If we drive, we usually use the car park opposite the 'Salford Quays' tram stop, where Chiquitos (and other restaurants) are - it's only about 20p or so an hour to park there.

It's about 5 minutes walk from the Lowry.
