short term rental shawlands/newlands area

hi, apologies up front if this is the wrong place to post, we are looking for a short term rental from mid-April while we get building work done. Keen to stay in the Shawlands/Newlands/Strathbungo area as our children go to school in the area. Would anyone know of anything available or be able to recommend any letting agencies in the area? Thanks so much for any help.

What sort of rental do you want to pay and how many bedrooms do you need? I can keep my ear to the ground and/or ask around.

thanks so much prettybird, we would probably need 2 bedrooms and for a minimum of 4weeks and max 8 (hopefully no longer than that!) Ideally short term rental, i've already tried air bnb but no joy :-(

Have you talked to any of the local estate agents? They may know of properties currently for sale which are already empty and would be prepared to do a very short term rental.

Happened to see this on Gumtree and thought of you. 6-9 months might be too long - but you never know how long building works can go on for!
