move 2 Winchmore Hill- primary school transfer

Hi,

We have moved into Winchmore Hill area, applied for Primary school. but its in waiting list.

how long does it take to get a school admission for Year 4 in this area. Should I appeal for the decision?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Is that a waiting list for a specific school? The council can usually tell you what position you are on a waiting list for a specific school. I've heard that going down to the Civic Centre can be helpful if you don't feel you are getting the answers you need over the phone.

I did chat to someone about 6 months ago who was on the waiting list for a specific school in Enfield (year 1 or 2 she'd just moved to the area) for half a term before deciding to widen her search and was able to get a place at a different school straight away.
