Pathways in secondary school

This is my first thread, as I'm quite concerned about my daughter's education. She is in year 9 and her school is in doubt that she'll gain adequate passes in her GCSE's so have put her on a Pathways course whereby she can only do a limited selection of GCSE's and select a BTEC - this is also quite limited.

She desperately hates school and has done so since starting, as she finds it rather rowdy and information to pupils and parents seems rather sporadic.

Nonetheless, I would like to know if other parents have had/are experiencing similar difficulties with their pupils' educational experience?

Have you spoken with her Head of Year?
Is there any chance of starting a new school before she starts Yr 10?

It is concerning that she is so unhappy in school.
