This play center has been in the news recently because of injuries. Has anyone been there and what did you think about it?

My child has been invited to a party there and I've not replied to the invite yet. Wonder if there is a separate (smaller area) for party children or is it free for all?

I was there last week with my teenage DCs and they had a blast.

I don't know how they would block off an area for a party unless it was the dodgeball area- probably worth phoning to ask. I think the injuries are from people being silly and trying to attempt tricks they can't do, or not following the rules.

The place seemed well staffed and organised to me without too much heavy handed intervention to stop the fun. The limit on numbers means that there should be plenty of room for everyone without crashing into each other. There is a morning session just for kids aged 6 and under and their parents which should be a bit less hectic as long as the parents aren't the ones being idiots.

It's currently closed as they didn't get an entertainments licence. Apparently this needs a consultation period so who knows when it will reopen.

My friend said it was too busy and not enough staff monitoring the areas. She also felt it was only half finished.
