Larkhall to Alice Park

Hi,
I'm chair of Cycle Bath and we sort of try and get better cycling infrastructure in Bath. One of our members recently wrote about the redevelopment of the Harvester site down by Alice park and what the possible route improvements could be.

cyclebath.org.uk/2015/02/13/larkhall-to-alice-park-path/

I was wondering if any of you had any feedback to the article.

We, as a group, meet with the council once every two months to then raise issues as well as try and begin dialogues with developers to make sure footpaths, shared paths and cycle paths are good enough for ages 8-80. (Sorry sounds very cliche).

Apologies if this is inappropriate but it would really help us if you have any feedback.

Regards,
Adam

Hello.

Although I posted the original article on the CycleBath website & the proposal is for a shared path, I think it needs clarifying that the main users of this path will be young families walking & scooting to the park. It definitely won't be speeding, Lycra clad cyclists. I'm sure It will also prove popular with the residents of the retirement apartments providing a level, safe route into the Square by foot or mobility scooter.
