Fern hill and latchmere waiting lists

Hello all Kingston Mums

We are moving to north kingston area next month. I have 2 DDs , older one is in year 1 so she is going to be on waiting lists. I am really keen on fern hill and latchmere. She would be number 2 on fern hill waiting list and a little down on latchmere.
My younger DD will be starting nursery in september and I am told once she starts in sept , older DD moves up to 1, 2 in waiting lists. Would be nice to hear if any of you know whether the waiting lists move in these schools?
Do we have a chance of getting older DD in one of these schools? Whats the best time of the year when the kids leave these schools, I am told there is a few kids from army parents who leave mid year. Fingers crossed.
Please respond.

I would've thought you'd have a good chance with either as both are large schools so a good chance a couple of existing parents will move out of the area.

I've heard great things about Fern Hill and parents very happy with it.

Hi autumn51...thanks for your reply..do you live in kingston too..
.i am hoping for the same..there is 240 kids in total in yr 1 (latchmere plus fern hill)

Any ideas about St Agathas..thinking og putting that as one of the options in the application form.

Hi Yalka, I think you have to be a practicing Catholic to get a place at St Agatha's, so may or may not work for you!

Hi we're thinking of moving to this area too - out of interest how do you know where you are on the waiting lists for these schools before you've moved? Thanks!

@autumn51 : I guess St Agathas does have some spaces for children of other faith. Will enquire more next week when the school opens.

@familysav: great to hear you are moving too , what years are your kids in ?
Regarding the waiting lists, after you know the address where you are moving, the council can tell you about it .
Would be great to catch up more on this .

Thanks! We're keen on latchmere particularly. Our eldest is in year 1 and daughter would be starting reception in September. So if the younger ones are at nursery at the school, does that count towards the sibling place for the older ones? At some schools, the nurseries are completely separate. Thank you!
