Hello there. Live in south Manchester and thinking of moving over to Old Trafford - around the Seymour Park / Ayres Road bit. Streets look lovely, primary schools seem good, but anyone know what it's like to live there? Community, safety etc?

Thanks x Smile

We live in the area (have done for 8 years). It has improved so much in that time and has a really good community feel. Lots of families, young professionals etc. I think a lot of people have cottoned on to the fact that you get a lot more for your money than Chorlton and you can still walk there in 15 mins. Like anywhere, there are burglaries etc but I can honestly say that in all the time we have lived there we haven't had any problems. We have a child at one of the local primaries and we are very happy with it. Ayres rd itself can get busy and is a bit of a cut through but there are some lovely leafy roads off it and some great houses. You only have to look at how quickly houses are selling and also the house renovations happening to see that it really is an area on the up. Any other questions just ask!
