Baby Observation

Hello parents and those who are soon to be! I am completing a course at the Tavistock on early child development and will need to undertake a baby observation as part of my studies. I am looking for someone kind enough to allow me to observe their baby for one hour a week for six months. Those who have taken part in these types of observations have found them rewarding and interesting. We can meet beforehand so that we can talk about the observation and what it will involve. I hold an upto date DBS (former CRB) check and can provide a letter from my course administrator to explain more.

Is your baby due soon? I am studying for an MA at The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships. My course includes setting up a baby observation, in which I quietly observe a new baby for 1 hour a week through the first weeks and months of his or her life, at home with mum. I am looking for someone who could be kind enough to allow me to witness such a precious and important time in baby??s life, and be assured I would treat it with due seriousness, discretion and consideration for the household. There is no payment involved but the process can often be surprisingly supportive, interesting and enjoyable for all concerned.

Of course we could make contact before so that you get to meet me and feel more comfortable with the idea. I hold an up to date CRB check and can provide proper documentation explain and confirm this request. All info is treated with proper confidentiality according to ethical and professional standards etc

Please contact me if you would like to be part of this, or if you know anyone else who would. Thank you heaps!
