Hello, can anyone offer a recommendation for a hairdresser in Surrey please? I have short hair with full head of highlights (blonde/couple of colours) and would appreciate any recommendations. I'm Godalming/Guildford way but happy to travel. TIA

The impact of a picture book narrative upon liking and consumption of health foods

Briefing Sheet
This study investigates how a picture book narrative will impact upon children’s liking and consumption of health foods. Specifically it focuses on the use of a narrative and cartoon characters to depict a health benefit of eating a healthy food item (carrot or sweetcorn) impacts upon how the child perceives the health food and in turn whether this increases consumption. This research is important because as is well known a large proportion of our youth struggle with weight issues and other related lifestyle problems.

Taking part in this study therefore involves being read a picture book story and filling out two rating scales lasting approximately a quarter of an hour. While children are completing the second rating scale, they will also be free to consume both carrots and sweetcorn if they wish.

Likert scale will be as follows:

How much do you like carrots?

No biographical information will need to be submitted other than age, sex and school. All data will remain confidential and known only to the researcher (Elliott Mould). You and your child will maintain the right to withdraw until your child leaves the test session. Following this, all data will be anonymous, so we will not be able to identify your child’s data.

If you are happy for your child to take part in this study, please sign for informed consent below.
