Any first hand experience of the junior school at SPF? we are looking at the junior school for year 3 next year...

My friend had a daughter there and it was super for her. She's now in year 7 at the senior school, so a recent experience.

I taught there myself 12 years ago. Thing have changed a lot since then, but some of the staff are the same, including the head (who was deputy when I was there) and they are wonderful, caring people.

many thanks, and good to hear. is your feeling that they are sufficiently focused on the harder subjects like maths and sciences? we are new to the area, and are looking to get our girls on solid academic footing. we get a lot of advice to focus on the perse co-ed, but at the same time we are getting a feel it's too much boys focused. as a result we are trying to understand whether both are equal in their approach to the harder subjects.

It's a strongly academic school, I find it hard to imagine they they don't focus on everything! Although I would disagree that maths and science are intrinsically 'harder' than any other subject - depends on your strengths!
