Advice on relocating to Bridge of Weir

Hi

We are currently house hunting in Bridge of Weir area. Looking for any hints and tips from locals as we don't know the area well.

Anywhere to avoid? What is like in terms of community involvement? Is there lots to get involved in or is a bit cliquey?

How are the nurseries? Any recommendations?

Hi, I live in Kilbarchan which is very nice. Nice community feel and everyone is friendly. Great wee gala day in the summer which gets the whole village out, and two good pubs. I know a couple people in BOW who send their kids to nurseries in Houston, but not sure on BOW nurseries themselves, or even if there is any. Cant give you any info on whether it is cliquey or not though either.

Thanks Cheeky, we haven't looked at Kilbarchan but will check it out. I think we might take another run over this weekend and look at the wider area in more depth
