Old Palace Nursery

Hi

My husband and I are considering sending our daughter to Old Palace Nursery later in the year when she turns two. Its very local to us and on the face of it sounds like a good nursery. However, I was wondering whether anyone in the Mumsnet community has first hand experience of sending their children there.

Our daughter is currently looked after by family and we could continue with this arrangement that works really well, but we think she is ready to start socialising more broadly and doing some academic learning. It would really help us in our decision making if we could get some feedback from other parents as this seems quite hard to find online for some reason!

Thanks

My older daughter is in the preschool at old palace and my younger daughter is just about to start there. We're very happy with the nursery. There's a lovely community. I like that it is big enough to have separate rooms for each age group. I'm not too fussed about the academic side and I am not keen to push my daughter too much at this stage since she is only 3 so haven't forced homework. But, she is definitely learning and loves being there. She has definitely learnt to listen, follow instructions and share toys (although ignores this completely at home). HTH.
