Recruiting Foster Carers

We need more foster carers for Suffolk children. Especially older children, teenagers, sibling groups and children with a disability. If you are looking for a new challenge, have patience, compassion and a spare room, you could provide a child with the secure home life they need to thrive and achieve.

I would love to foster, however, my husband has health issues so I can't be considered. Sad, as I am fine

I am sorry to hear that penelopejane, I guess you have discussed this with a fostering provider? Each circumstance is different and with health matters it really comes down to how this might effect the household and the care of the child either in practical terms or maybe emotionally. If you would like to discuss possibilities please feel free to call us on 01473 264800. Thank you

Indeed, have discussed in detail with a fostering provider at great length and it just wasn't feasible to pursue. I just wished it to be known that, although some people are willing and able, it isn't that simple

You are absolutely right penelopejane. The time and circumstances have to be right. Usually this can be established early on in the fact finding process before any formal assessment begins.
