Hi Mums,

I'm looking for a local club/class/group etc to get back in shape. I have a 2.5 year old and need to be able to either bring her to the class (she'd enjoy it) or have a fitness class that offers an on-site creche. Any ideas?

I prefer as close to us as possible (we're in Marchmont), and we don't drive, but a 20 min bus ride or 20-25 min walk is ok too.

I can't seem to find much outside of Leith and Stockbridge. I will do almost any type of fitness, like pilates, yoga, jumping around, dance, whatever gets rid of my wobble lol.

TIA!

Could I ask what you found in leith/Stockbridge? I'd love to find similar but only seen buggy boot camp so far and although I enjoyed that I'd like to try something different with dc2 (due next week!)

Oh and sorry I did know of a Pilates class for mums and babies at eric Liddell centre in bruntsfield maybe Google that?

After i had DD the life care centre in stockbridge hosted some classes that you could take kids too. Pretty sure one of them was zumba. This was 3 years ago so not sure if they still do them

Sorry folks I didn't realize people were answering my thread!

krusovice - google fitness soul, they had adverts for several classes (zumba, yoga and more I believe) where you can bring your kiddo. They seem like a great place with loads of options. You could maybe even enroll your little one in a class at the same time as you because it seems they've got a lot for the whole family.

oh and thanks for the tip on the pilates class!! I may have to look into that. I did find some activities in a nearby church (pilates and karate) that I might look into that are on the weekends/evenings - I can stick OH with the kid and get some me time maybe! But he works long hours so maybe the mum/babies pilates will be better for us.

I've gotten active in the meantime, I found another mum to run with me and we bring our buggies along sometimes.
