relocating to rawtenstall

Hi there everyone I'm new to this and have only just discovered the local mumsnet section. I just after some advice please I'm relocating to Rawtenstall and I'm wanting to know what its like to live there,things to do,what the schools are like etc.
I have two boys aged 8 and 10 years.

I've not longed since moved to Bacup. I've not got out much but the area seems to be reasonably friendly :) Can't answer your questions on schools as mine is still cooking ;)

Its a nice area to live, gets a lot more sun that Bacup too! Can't help with schools or what to do sorry, my baby's only 6 months so I haven't got there yet
