Possible move to Abingdon

We are looking to relocate to Oxfordshire and are looking at Abingdon at the moment. I'd be interested to hear views on living here - with a family (2 sons, 5 and 9), pressure on school places (is it as bad as Oxford City?!), which areas we should avoid for flooding etc. Thanks in advance for any advice!

...or other similar-sized towns in South Oxfordshire you would reccomend! Sorry for so many questions, am moving back to the UK after 14 years away and have so many questions!
