Nice child friendy pubs / restaurants.

Hello,

Does any one know any pubs that serve really nice food and are also child friendly?

Our lo is very well behaved ( although she is still a child )!! Myself and my husband have only found a handful of places that we feel comfortable going to that are decent.

All the very child friendly pubs are not great..I'm not expecting somewhere really posh, but I would like to go somewhere nice that also happily cater for toddlers.

Pubs around hitchin / letchworth or surrounding villages?

Hello! I hope this post isn't too late!
We go to the Rusty Gun in st ippolyts (near Hitchin) with our two boys, aged 3 and 11 months. The food's lovely and friendly staff, customers etc. you can even feed their pigs.

Alternatively, the White Horse at Burnham Green is lovely in summer with a great garden with swans / ducks, or The Plume of Feathers in Tewin.

I would also recommend The Angel (I think it's called) in Hitchin. It does lovely pizzas and cheap roast dinners but more importantly has a childrens section with an indoor soft play and an outdoor climbing frame in the beer garden :) (apologies if I've got the pub name slightly wrong!)

The Orange Tree in Baldock is child friendly, does great beer (according to DH) and menu (albeit pub fare) is good. Good roast on Sundays. They also do gluten free sponge puddings, yorkshire puddings and gravy....

I'm St. Albans, but we sometimes meet friends at The Raven in Hexton, near Hitching. Nice food, child friendly.
