Hope you had a good end to 2014 and that 2015 is a good one for you and your families!
Hoping for a more sociable Mumsnet Merton in 2015. We are planning to have monthly meet-ups, start a book group and have a rolling diary of evening meet-ups to accommodate people's differing family/work commitments too.
Some of the Mumsnetters have suggested a book group which is a fantastic idea, so to get the ball rolling, can we have some thoughts on:
a) preferred day of the week to hold them on?
b) venue? Ideally we would probably want somewhere which isn't too busy (where we could find a quiet corner for chatting) and which is across-borough accessible by foot/transport????
c) frequency? Know there are some of you who are prolific readers but others maybe not so much so but still keen to meet for a chat and literary discussion.
d) starter list of 5 titles - I guess we may want to vary by genre, length of book etc....
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions and perhaps we should be aiming to get started in early February???
