Moving to New Barnet in December 2014 - any tips?

Hi there. Me, my husband and our 20 month old toddler are moving to New Barnet. Our second baby is due in May. Any recommendations for nice things to do in the local area? I know the Boydens Cafe is nice. Also which are the best playgrounds?
