I have a 5 month old boy and about to move to Chartridge, a just outside Chesham. I don't know much about the area so it would be really nice to know whether there are any mothers of young babies in the area who could tell me a bit about what its like to live there with a little one. I am moving from London so know that I am in for a big change!

Not a mother with a young baby but was when I moved out of zone 2 to a village just outside Chesham. It's an ok place to live. Seems to be improving. The park is lovely. There's a really lovely new deli / cafe recently opened in Chesham town centre. I think there are a number of mother / baby groups etc if that's your sort of thing. And if all else fails there's the met line into London.

I dont know Chesham or Chartridge intimately -- but would look at def look also at Amersham, Chesham Bois, Great Missedenden, Little Missenden for mother and baby groups/activities.

I love Chesham it's a cute little place, if you walk one way you'll be in town but walk any other direction and it's just countryside! I've lived in other places for a few years but Chesham calls me back every time!

Lupinny do you have a car? Chartridge is quite a walk from the centre of chesham (I confess I don't know what the buses are like!). Chesham itself is good-farmers market at the weekend and as has been said already lots of other places close by to look at for groups etc even if there's nothing you specifically like in Chesham itself.
