Addiscombe

Hoping to get some opinions on Addiscombe. Currently renting in Crystal Palace and looking to buy. CP is now too expensive, so started looking at Croydon (with the regeneration project underway), specifically South Croydon and Addiscombe.
Found a house on Dalmally Road which seems like a lovely road and we had a walk around the other weekend and it has a nice feel, so thought I'd see what other people think.

I think Addiscombe is a really good option and Dalmally Road is nice and quiet isn't it. Your really close to the tramlink there too so you can get to East Croydon easily or up to Elmers End, both or which will link you to central London.

Addiscombe has a nice selection of local shops and a couple of large nearby parks.

We bought in Addiscombe a couple of years ago and I really like it here. There are a few really nice streets - Kingscote Road, Sherwood Road to name a couple, where you can get really nice, good sized period properties for great value relative to other areas in London. New cafes have been opening, and there is mum and baby yoga held at the Annunciation on Bingham Road. A new grocery store with organic foods is opening on the high street. There is a new cafe in Ashburton Park that has excellent cakes and coffee. Plus my DH travels into work in the City in 45 minutes with fast trains from East Croydon. All in all we are quite happy here.
