The response seems to be pretty equally split for and against the idea - although when it is broken down by area it's clear the vast majority of those in favour are in the Northcote area near the hugely oversubscribed Belleville and Honeywell schools.
Because of the mixed response the Council plans to change the proposal slightly and then do another consultation.
The new suggestion is that sibling priority be restricted to those living within 800m plus those living further afield who have not moved since their first child secured a place.
