Can anyone recommend a good optician for younger children?

My four year old is coming out of reception with headaches every day and I think he could do with seeing an optician to check his eyesight.

Do you just make an appointment at Boots or do we have to go via the GP? Anyone know any opticians who are good with little kids (i.e.: not exceptional at recognising every letter when under pressure!)

I'd appreciate any tips.

I've used specsavers with my four year old. They used pictures not letters, very good with him.

I can recommend a good one if you're near northfield area.
