Letting Agents

I'm thinking of letting out my flat in Shawlands.

Can anyone recommend a good letting agent? Or equally warn me about not-so-good ones?

DON'T use Countrywide, whatever you do. They were the most awful agents to let from, thus I'd think they will also be awful to let with - routine maintenance wasn't done, didn't communicate with us and then we didn't get our deposit back (returned it to the owner before our final inspection!!)

That's very good to know, thanks! You'd think one of the bigger agencies would be better, but clearly not.

We used Clyde and they were very good.

Not sure if this is too late for a reply but we've had good experience using the Property Bureau. They specialise in letting rather than sales.
