Chatterton Rd

Can anybody tell me what the area around Chatterton Rd is like?
I've only briefly visited and it seemed a bit dare I say it, rough. But maybe it's ok really?
We are house hunting and nice houses keep coming up in the area. I'm a bit put off as Chatterton Rd itself seems a bit scruffy but I don't want to make a snap judgement.

Deffinately not rough. Extremely popular area and school: raglan. Chatterton village has everything u need plus the park and virgin active gym. Houses are expensive here which "prooves" the popularity of the area. Close to bromley south. Local Pub isnt great , but lots others around.
