Which Firework Display now that the Sanderstead one has been cancelled?

Have you heard that the Firework display at Sanderstead Recreation Ground has been cancelled after more than 40 years and may never return?

The Rotary Club of Croydon Jubilee has decided to stop organising it as the costs were increasing whilst the council has reduced funding.

Such a shame. So, is there anywhere else to go to see fireworks in the southern part of Croydon?

Boo :( I am going to the Warlingham ones on the John Ruskin playing fields. There is a group called Warlingham Community Choreographed Fireworks Display with more info on Facebook.

Royal Russell ones are usually good too and caterham.

I thought Royal Russell had been canceled too. I shall have a Google.

How depressing :( I have been going to the sanderstead ones since I was a small child. Very sad.
