Bernards Heath / Garden Fields dilemma? Advice please?

Hi,
I'm very new to this and I've never posted anything (although I think I may have posted this twice?) so please be patient?!
I've got two beautiful boys and I've recently made the decision to give up work to be with them full time (lots of reasons but I really hope I've made the right decision). They are both in child care atm as I've been going to work but from Jan I will only need a place for my oldest as he had the 15hrs - my youngest will stay with me. Here is my dilema... I live in St Albans and my junior school catchment area is between Garden Fields and Bernards Heath. BH has an infants attached and I'm not sure if I should move my oldest there or leave him where he is (obviously pending place availability?). Has any one got any experience they are happy to share about either Bernards Heath or Garden Fields? What sort of qualities do you think they nurture? I'm wondering if either would stand out in terms of suiting my boys personalities? I know GF is larger for example- would my little one get 'lost' there (or am I just overthinking this? !). The reason I'm getting into this now is that if i think BH is the place my boys should go in the longer term, I think there may be an advantage in building a relationship with them as soon as possible - ie through the infants?
I really am a novice at this and I'm not sure where to find good recent information and opinion?
Any help or advice really would be appreciated!
Many thanks!

Both schools have excellent reputations - I don't think you can go wrong!

I have friends who have children at both. I don't have a lot of details, but I've only heard good things and happy kids.
