My son is really struggling at Stafford Junior school. He is very unhappy. I was told by the school on Wednesday that they hadn't 'given up on him yet'!! I am not sure what happens when they do give up on him as he is only in Year 4. He has been diagnosed as on the border of the Autistic Spectrum. A lot the time you wouldn't notice anything unusual but he finds the school environment very challenging and has done since Reception. We are considering moving him to another state school which has a less draconian system and more creative outlook. The headteacher at Stafford is an appalling man: unprofessional and incompetent who cares more about student appearance than their well-being and happiness. What do others think of Stafford? We are looking at West Rise but are open to suggestions. Anyone know anything about West Rise? Or have any recommendations?
