Anyone live in/near Stone?

Hi,
Considering a move from London to Staffordshire, possibly in Stone. Can anyone give me an idea what it's like? Are there nice bars/restaurants? Is there a cinema? Thinking ahead what are primary schools like (state)? Are there lots of families in the area?

As you can tell, there isn't a strong mumsnet presence in Stone!
I've lived here for 9 years and think it's a great little town.
There are some very good restaurants, quite a few 'local' pubs, lots of family life. No cinema though and the high street is now overrun with charity shops, so it's not great for shopping and you can cover the entire high street in about 10 mins. But that means you're a max of 10 mins from countryside too - canal walks, commons, hills.
I don't know about the schools but there are certainly lots of families here.
