Hello Hampshire Mumsnet friends -
We have one of the most dangerous level crossings in the UK in our community - it's less than 100 yards from our primary school, which is on a single lane road.
Our DSs and DDs are constantly in danger of increasing rail traffic over the half-barrier crossing, and from the increasing traffic going down the road (which will increase if Network Rail make the crossing a full barrier, which is their second option).
Network Rail's preferred option is to close the level crossing as there is a more suitable crossing just a few hundred yards down the line - but we need to show support to help make this happen.
