Hello, can anyone recommend a localish hairdresser who is good with curly hair? I'm at the southern end of the borough but would travel for a good haircut!

Don't worry WoodDragon, happens to the best of us! Baccarat Hair in Beckenham also tell us they have specialists who can cut curly hair.

Thank-you, I only just spotted this. I'm still looking, so I might give one of them a go.

OP, ask for Senol at Zara (pronounced Shenol). He doesn't speak brilliant English, but he understands curly hair! he takes his time and is very handsome!!

WoodDragon are you sure it is his hair cutting skills you are enthused about?! Grin Presume you mean Zara Hair and Beauty in Petts Wood?

WoodDragon · 23/04/2015 00:12

Hehe!! it's a bonus that he's soooooooo good looking!! yes to Zara's hair and beauty PW.

On the strength of this thread I tried out Senol. I've spent a lot of money on (a few) good and (many) terrible haircuts. This was a good one - I looked great at the end of the (excellent) blow dry (normally I look like a poodle and go home and put my head under cold water to tame the frizz). All great and I intend to become a regular (ie I'm really, really pleased with the cut). I really liked Senol - no dull chit chat he just gets on with cutting (and thinking) in a very intense manner. It would have been perfect if I'd had a magazine although the big windows offered a fair amount of passing interest.
Also the ladies working in the salon were absolutely lovely too.
Has anyone had their colour done at Zara? If so what did you think?

Aaaah Senol has left - does anyone know where he has gone?
