Secondary schools in Hove

Oh God, the time has come to make the dreaded secondary school decision. Has anyone got any useful words for me on Blatchington Mill, Hove Park, Cardinal Newman? Also would love any thoughts on Roedean and Brighton and Hove High School for Girls. DD is in year 6, a happy go lucky sorta girl, very good at English and reading, quite good at maths, very good sense of humour and seriously quirky. Would love her to get into sport/drama. Will, of course, go to all the open days etc but would love some real mum input. Very grateful to you!

Have you thought about Brighton College? Your Dd sounds like a good fit for that school. I have (bitter) experience of BHHS; it's awful, lousy facilities and everyone is miserable.
