Hi

we are moving to St Albans at the end of March. Youngest son has high functioning ASD and we are looking for a non fee paying primary school in the area that would be supportive of him. Academically he is ok just has a lot of trouble socially. Can anyone advise me which schools they would recommend.

I am not sure how primary admissions for children with SEN work, but (almost) all primaries are oversubscribed. You might not have much choice. Whereabouts in SA are you moving to?

thanks for responding. we are hoping to move as close to Loreto as possible and get an in year admission for my daughter in year 8. I know we are dreaming but we have to at least try. I have been looking at John Fisher Primary it seems like a nice little catholic school similiar to the one he will be leaving which have been really supportive of his needs.

I've never looked at faith schools, to be honest.
Just make sure you ask them what kind of proof re. you being Catholic they need. A lot of people need to jump through many hoops to be worthy....
