High Schools

What would be the top 5 or so high schools in Glasgow?
Not fee paying or entrance exam
Schools you can apply to with a placing request
And what is the opinion of Notre Damn? And high schools in the East of Glasgow?
Where would I find information about the best performing schools online?
TIA

Difficult to compare via online systems as you have to look at their demographics etc (there is a comparison somewhere but I can't remember where).

Shawlands Academy does well and can always so far accommodate placing requests. Its results are on a par with Hillhead - they argue between themselves as to which is "better". Hyndland also has a good reputation iirc.

hi - you need to look at the website parentzone. On there you can search every single school in Scotland. It will show you, for example, the % S4 cohort that went on to gain 1, 3 or 5 highers in S5. It then compares the school to the overall Glasgow wide situation and then a comparison across every school in Scotland. Show % free school meals etc etc, similar to the English 'league tables'.
