Anyone know Rodley?

We currently live in Armley on a very dodgy street and are looking to move soon. Been looking at north leeds but most nice houses are out of our price range (we are renting). A lovely house I've got my eye on in Rodley has been reduced to an affordable price for us but I don't know the area at all.

Is it decent? Is there a lot to do with a baby (8mo)? Ideally I'd like somewhere where we can go on a few walks etc. without having to drive out somewhere.

Any help appreciated! Also suggestions for other areas would be good. We are looking for a 3 bed with garden for £650pcm.

Rodley's lovely but very small. There's plenty of housing, but only one main street which has a few cafes, greengrocers etc. There is a soft play centre though and lovely walks along the Leeds-Liverpool canal which is just off Rodley town street.

If you're looking for more to do/places to go in that area, I'd recommend Farsley and Pudsey over Rodley. We've got a 1 year old and moved away from Rodley before we started a family thinking it wouldn't be big enough.

I don't know that much about what's going on in Farsley, but living in Pudsey , it has loads of walks from your doorstep, activities for mums and babies/toddlers at the library, classes at the children's centre, a wellbeing centre with things going on, as well as a lovely park with good playground.

There's a good range of houses as well to rent, and I would think you'd easily find something for 650pm.

Thanks for the reply! I'll look at Pudsey and Farsley too. Anything has to be better than where I am now anyway Grin
