Ideas for a 40th celebration in Cardiff??

Hi all,

I am looking for ideas of things to do in Cardiff, ideally in the daytime, to celebrate my husband's and his friend's 40th next Feb.

We have booked our accommodation, which is central, and already have tickets for the Wales v England rugby match on the Friday night, and have dinner booked for the Saturday night, but me and the friend's wife are looking for something good to plan for the Saturday daytime, so I thought I would turn to mumsnet for inspiration!

Both men like rugby (hence the Friday night), they are both happy to make fools of themselves and dabbled in drama in their school years, which seems to have lingered. In their heyday they loved clubbing and probably still like to think of themselves as good movers (ha!). They're both pretty outdoorsy and fit.

Any ideas? Happy for the suggestions to be a bit unusual - quite like the idea of suggesting quite a bonkers way to spend the afternoon!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

White water rafting ? There's a place in the bay and they also do surfing lessons.
A bit out of town but there's a place called Mountain View ranch, 9 hole golf course and they also have thise two wheeler segue things that you can hire and head off into the woods on.
Or you could try the St Davids hotel for a spa session.
Erm will try and ponder some others

international white water CIWW is the obvious suggestion! Indoor surfing is great fun whatever the weather.

A bit more weather dependent would be a speedboat trip in the Bay. Just Google it, there are a few companies that do it.

Or what about cocktail making classes?. Again there are a few places that do them.

Perhaps a bit of footbubble?. I've never played but friends had a right laugh for an afternoon on a stag do.
