Things to do in Windsor

Hi there. My husband is cycling in an event from Richmond to Windsor on Sunday. I will have to drop him off at Richmond in the car (we live in East Anglia) and then drive myself and the 3 DS to Windsor. The event finishes at the Alexandra Gardens on Alma Road and I am advised there is a pay and display carpark on Alam Road next to the gardens. I reckon I'll be there around 10.30ish. The 3 DS are almost 6, 3.5 and 13 months. Husband reckons he'll be there around 12.30-1ish. I can take a packed lunch so not too worried about having to find somewhere to feed the kids but can anyone tell me what there is in the local area to do for a few hours. It looks like Windsor Castle is just over the road? Might that be the best bet?

Thanks!

There is quite a lot to do in Windsor. Everything is within walking distance - in the train station they have a train model you can go and look at, there is obviously windsor castle. There are plenty of places to eat. You can walk along the river too. There is also nice open space for the kids to run around in.

Batchelors Acre is a nice little park with a playground. It has a water fountain in the centre of the park too, so if it is a nice day children can play in it!
