Working mums on the Wirral

Helllo, I moved to the Wirral 18 months ago after living abroad. Work full time and have DS1 (4 years old) and DS2 (20 months old). I know its a bit of a long shot but I wondered if there are any other mums in a similar situation who fancied meeting up for coffee/chat/gossip?

Hi I live on the wirral and have a son who's five. I' work full time as I am a single parent. It's difficult to just met new people to have a chat and socialise as most things are during the day. There seems to be a lack of just friendship groups. I did access one online but I ended up online dating! I haven't quite mastered facebook yet but working on it. It would be great to have more of a conversation that doesn't involve daleks ,son obsessed with Dr who.

I'm work ft too and have a 4 yr old daughter. Would love to meet other working mums, none of my friends work much so don't understand the pressures!

Hi saz
Oh to be part time! You end up sounding a right grump when you talk to others. By the time I got home tonight, got dinner and finally sat down with my son he'd fallen asleep in his spaghetti hoops! First week of his school immaculate uniform, now on the fourth week sponging and smelling it to see if can get another day out of it. There must be so many of us just coping and hanging on in there hoping for that Sunday lie in that never happens.

How i laughed at the smelling the uniform part!! I'm the same. It doesn't look dirty so it'll be fine for school!!

Hi
I live in Bangor and planning to move to Wirral next yr. I have a daughter and she is in Yr 4 now. Would like to know a bit about the grammar school exams preps. Does anyone know of a good tuition centre to help her with the 11plus exams. Or could anyone pls suggest what books to follow. I have been told from this year there are some changes in the exams. Could someone please guide me with this. Many thanks
